Course Overview
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to undertake Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) induction training within the construction industry. It requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of WHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry.
Course Content
This unit of competency supports the attainment of the basic OHS knowledge required prior to undertaking designated work tasks within any of the sectors within the construction industry. The unit relates directly to the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work (ASCC 2007).

You must be over 14 years of age to complete this course
The Queensland White Card course (CPCCOHS1001A: Work safely in the construction industry) can only be completed by participants who have a Queensland residential address. You must obtain a USI prior to receiving certification.
Assessment
Trainees will be assessed by short answer questions and case study/scenario problems.
Certification
This is an accredited training course. Upon successful completion of the course participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and a White Card.
